Re: A little topic about BOOKS!
I read one Harry Potter book and one Eragon book. Thats its. I also read novels, but it depends if I want to read it. Do you guys ever heard of Warriors?
Re: A little topic about BOOKS!
I'm a bookworm... Read most genre by most authors.
Thought Harry Potter was decent until 5th book which was horrendous to put it nicely, but maybe it's just because I read things from much much better authors like Stephen King. Film series as a general rule is usually worse than the books and was definitely true with HP. Reread the books, watch the series and spot the difference or what's missing because some key parts (in my opinion) were and it doesn't take a genius to work out the flaws, it really doesn't. Flame me for that comment all you want but: Series (books) wasn't anything original, a lot of obvious plagerism was involved, the books were not by any means better than average - JK just got lucky and also the film series strayed so far from the books they were only connected by key points. Also I lost all respect after the bald werewolf and her money making scheme on the final film by splitting it into 2 parts despite being a shorter and arguably less detailed and entertaining novel than say the 4th book which was very very chopped to bits as regards storyline and details.
For what I read: Sci Fi, Non-Fiction, Fantasy, Fiction, Mystery, Murder, Manga... Anything through to entire textbooks - seriously. I read university level physics and chemistry textbooks as light reading before bed or in the morning. I like anything Tim Burton writes, I've read all the books Darren Shan has released so far (and met him) including the stand alone short stories, I like Stephen King and just pretty much anything worth a read really.
I will also slam twilight equally as hard after how badly they stray from that series too as well as the fact a great majority of the film involves spinning cameras inducing motion sickness. I'd go to diss the fact the vampires sparkle but that's the book's fault for having "unique" vampires. Think I'll stick to Alucard and a good Dracula. Or a good Buffy Vamp e.g Spike or Angel will do.

Umm OK I like manga too and I agree the order of the phoenix was a bit against my taste but book six and seven were great! Also (as I maybe said before) a LotR fan.

Re: A little topic about BOOKS!
I read the whole Harry Potter series and became increasingly disappointed. My favourite book was the Prisoner of Azkaban because I love werewolves but obviously the film then just ruined the entire book for me anyway as the werewolf lacked any real features, barely resembling the werewolf as detailed in the novel other than the basic of fangs, not that they were as great as mentioned. Very disappointing series from an unoriginal middle of the road author.
The films definitely didn't do LotR books justice especially not the last film but yeah, the books were good!

Yeah and one thing that really makes me irritated is when your local library doesn't have a book in the right language!

I have heard of Inuyahsa. I love that anime. I usually read the manga for it, too. I haven't read any of that in awhile. XD
Oh, I love Spirited Away. I watched that movie back in 2006-2007. Do they have a manga for it or something?
Re: A little topic about BOOKS!
Yeah they do...and I started InuYasha a little while ago so no spoilers please!
